Please note: Due to staffing, each session we have to charge for all non funded advent sessions, including personal holidays, but not for development days or closures due to severe weather.
We offer each child a free home/school diary.
These are for messages to be past onto preschool staff and home. This is in case other people are dropping off/picking up your child from preschool or if you are on a tight schedule for work. These books allow us to to write in any general concerns, toileting accidents, sleeping patterns, any problems during lunch/snack time or anything else we feel we need to inform families about.
We have found that this is a good way of keeping record of your child’s time at preschool and having a positive, continual link between home and school. Feel free to talk to a member of staff if you would like to know more.
At Wroxall Robins Preschool, we use an online learning journal; ‘Tapestry’ to create a ‘Unique Child Profile’ for each individual child.
This is a collection of observations, assessments, photos and videos of their development, which starts as soon as they start at the Preschool and then carries on with them as they progress up into the Primary School.
On arrival into the preschool, each family will be issued login and will be provided with information on how to view observations whilst their child is at school, and even a lesson on how to add your own observations from home.
After School Club:
We also offer an after school club service run by Wroxall Primary School staff. These sessions run from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm daily. Sessions can be booked in advance, but can also be booked on the day by calling the school (01983-852290)
£2 an hour
Stay and Play:
Stay and play allows parents and their children to come along and join in the preschool session. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents/carers from the local area and for the children to become familiar with the preschool, its staff and the other children.
This session is completely free and runs between 09:00pm – 11:30pm every Thursday morning.
